Biography
As the Performance Manager and Head Coach of Davey Black Triathlon and St Kilda Triathlon Club, Performance Coach Steve Davis brings a holistic approach to training, and has seen athletes flourish under the training philosophies that he has developed over the last decade of training and coaching.
Steve competed at high level junior tennis and Aussie Rules Footy before moving into Freestyle Martial Arts, Muay Thai and then Triathlon later in life. Starting as a pure beginner, and lacking natural talent in triathlon, hard work and determination saw him get to the Long Course World Championships. While the birth of his three kids have slowed him down a little, he still managed to compete in several Ironman distance Triathlons and maintains a healthy and holistic approach to training and fitness.
Coach Steve lived in Ireland for 3 years building successful Coaching and Personal Training business, before relocating back to Australia, creating the triathlon club and opening the Davey Black Fitness Studio for triathlon coaching Melbourne.
