Alex is a process driven coach who believes that a platform of communication between coach and athlete is the bedrock of athletic success.
Alex’s greatest attribute is his ability to act as a sounding board, listening to his athletes and adapting sessions, styles and methods of communication to suit the individual. This provides the athlete with the confidence and the freedom to develop and learn at a pace and skill level that suits their exact needs.
It doesn’t matter what level of athlete you are, if you are motivated to get the best out of yourself, and enjoy having fun along the way, then you can be sure that Alex will help you improve. Alex will do everything he can to ensure that you develop an efficient and successful athlete/coach partnership.
Since beginning his journey as an elite athlete in 2000, Alex has learned from some of the most incredible minds in sport and his passion lies in learning and adapting his coaching philosophies and continuously improving by developing with his athletes along their own journey into sport.

Amelia Rose Watkinson is a New Zealand born professional triathlete now living on the Sunshine Coast.
She has been actively involved in the sport of triathlon for 10 years and a professional athlete for 4 years.
Amelia has amassed eleven professional half ironman wins that have been the catalyst in her development as both an athlete and a coach. She has experienced the highest level of training and racing through junior, age group and elite level ranks. As a coach she is skilled in teaching any level of athlete how to improve and develop thier fitess and technique. By applying Amelia’s training and racing stratergies and tactics that have been so well defined over so many years, you are sure to reach your true athletic potential.
Amelia has a passion for the encompassing benefits of triathlon; health, fitness, community and networking, as well as the mental attributes triathlon can instill, Amelia values the balance that exists between lifestyle and training to maximise your personal gains.

Biography
As the Performance Manager and Head Coach of Davey Black Triathlon, Performance Coach Steve Davis brings a holistioc approcah to training, and has seen athletes flourish under the training philosophies that he has developed over the last decade of training and coaching.
Steve competed at high level junior tennis and Aussie Rules Footy before moving into Freestyle Martial Arts, Muay Thai and then Triathlon later in life. Starting as a pure beginner, and lacking natural talent in triathlon, hard work and determination saw him get to the Long Course World Championships. While the birth of his three kids have slowed him down a little, he still managed to compete in several Ironman distance Triathlons and maintains a healthy and holistic approach to training and fitness.
Coach Steve lived in Ireland for 3 years building successful Coaching and Personal Training business, before relocating back to Australia, creating the triathlon club and opening the Davey Black Fitness Studio in Melbourne. His dream is to build a team that delivers the highest quality advice, coaching and support to everyone, regardless of thier current fitness level. He is determined to help those who do not believe in themselves to get out and get active.
